Pat, thanks for all this great coverage. I know this took a lot of time and I really enjoyed it.

At the beginning of the year you did the post where you crossed out all the players from years passed and the story was still the same. But I am excited that next year will be a different story. We have a story in the makings of young guys with talent who want to prove their abilities instead of going after some .500 number.

Thanks again for all the excitement you build!

Searage went to my alma mater, West Liberty State, in the '70s before being drafted by the Mets. He is one of two West Liberty Hilltoppers to make it to the bigs in the last 50 years. The other is a former knuckleballer you might of heard of; Joe Niekro.

pedro's HR from saturday night. curve game was fun... the thunder's pitchers were afraid to pitch to pedro and he went 1-1 with 4 walks. alderton looked good i thought. high 80's-low 90's. saw a 95 on the board, but i'm thinking that may have been the line drive's speed it picked up. if the curve's d wasn't so bad, i doubt he'd have given up any runs and would have had a 4 hitter. couple of the ones ruled hits, like the triple, were questionable.
