A real blast from the past

Great, great find today by Tecmo at PSAMP. He’s managed to unearth a Pirates’ commercial circa 1990 advertising a late-season game between the Pirates and Expos as they battled for the NL East title that season. I think it’s for a game being played in Montreal (possibly the last series they played against the Expos that season in mid-September), but since it’s the same season and same time of year as the first baseball game I ever attended, it’s making me all kinds of nostalgic.

I wonder if we’ll ever get to see Pedro Alvarez in a similar commercial.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
