Joe Martinez traded

I’m not exactly sure how this happened, but Neal Huntington managed to trade the recently DFA’d Joe Martinez to the Indians for cash considerations or a player to be named later. I thought Martinez would fade into the minor league free agent ether, but I guess the Indians were worried he’d sign with someone else once he hit free agency. Or something. I have nothing else to add to this, so I’m going to link to one of my favorite blog posts on the internet, Bugs and Cranks’ look at the well-traveled former prospect Cassius “Cash” Considerations

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
