Try to do better, Pirates

There are several players in the Pirates’ lineup tonight that if you added their batting averages together, you might get one decent baseball player. Things are in such a state that starting Pedro Florimon, who was last seen in Minnesota hitting .092/.179/.132 last year, doesn’t seem like an awful idea. Of course that’s only because he’s more useful defensively than a croquet wicket and the Pirates are awfully thin at “more useful defensively than a croquet wicket.” Good luck, Charlie Morton.

This concludes my preview of tonight’s game.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
