As I’m sure you know, the Pirates have now lost 19 straight games in Miller Park. Tonight’s pitching matchup doesn’t really do much to favor the Pirates, as Kevin Hart takes the mound against Brewers’ ace Yovani Gallardo.
As a few of you have already noted, Ryan Doumit is out of the lineup tonight. Neal Huntington and John Russell assessed the situation with the media today, and from the sounds of it, Doumit’s been sent to his room without dinner to think about what he’s done. We’ll have to wait and see just how long he’s grounded for.
