Game 100: Giants 3 Pirates 2

So I take one night off and I miss a near-Freddy Sanchez trade and a game where the Pirate offense strings together 10 hits, but just three runs while Charlie Morton pitches fairly well, only to lose because he can’t get Eugenio Velez out. In other words, just another night in Pirate land.

I actually got back in about the sixth inning last night, but after being out in the sun for 5+ hours, I fell asleep pretty quickly, only to wake up, realize the TV and the game were both still on. I watched the bottom of the ninth and was fairly disappointed, so I quickly went back to sleep. I’m still planning a Charlie Morton PitchFX study, but it’s going to have to wait at least until after the trade deadline and maybe until some time in August, as I’m studying for my written comprehensive exam and it’s taking up quite a bit of my time.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
