Umm, I don’t know what to say about this. Holy crap.
UPDATE: I hit the GoogleTubes and found this, as well. Sounds like Tabata’s wife has quite a rap sheet to go with the various aliases. And because people have been asking, no, I don’t think it’s a typo that she’s 43 (I remember reading something about his marriage over the winter and being surprised by the age of his wife). All in all, this is just a really weird and unsettling story for a number of reasons.
ANOTHER UPDATE: John Perrotto has a new article on PiratesReport.com. Tabata’s wife has been arrested for the kidnapping and Tabata gave this statement:
“I was shocked to be told today that my wife has been arrested for kidnapping,” Tabata said. “I am hurt, frustrated and confused by her actions. I have and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement officials in any way that I can. Until I have all of the facts, I cannot comment any further.”
I don’t know what to say other than I’m happy that that was his reaction and he’s apparently not connected to this, but as a 20-year-old who seems to be mixed up in something that’s over his head, I really feel for the guy.
