No arbitration for Duke

It’s always nice to hear that your favorite team won’t be taking one of their pitchers into a small room and telling him how terrible he is for a few hours after he had a very nice bounceback season. Accordingly, DK is reporting good news this afternoon — the Pirates have avoided arbitration with Zach Duke and signed him to a one-year deal.
