Kris Medlen signs with the Royals

The Royals announced this afternoon that they’ve signed Kris Medlen to a two-year deal worth $8.5 million with a mutual third-year option for $10 million. That’s such a reasonable deal and Medlen is such a good bounce back candidate that I’m finding myself pretty disappointed that the Pirates were seemingly not interested in Medlen at all this winter.

I’m sure it’s all gonna be fine, I’m sure it’s all gonna be fine, I’m sure it’s all gonna be fine, WAIT, DOES THAT SAY THE MARINERS WILL HAVE THE BEST RECORD IN BASEBALL NEXT YEAR? BURN IT ALL DOWN AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
