A brief update

With pitchers and catchers reporting and the Pirates unveiling a 2016 version of the Fam-a-lee uniforms and spring training right around the corner, I wanted to give anyone that’s looking for WHYGAVS season preview posts a quick update on everything.

As I alluded to in my previous post a few weeks ago, I’m going to be defending my thesis soon. Like, very soon. The thesis itself is due in a week, and my defense is the week after that. I had hoped to be able to do at least some sort of WHYGAVS posting while I worked towards all of this, but that was optimistic; I’m not only finishing writing the thesis, but I’m also doing the final experiments necessary to get my paper accepted. The good news is that the defense is in early March; that leaves just about a full month for me to get back into the swing of blogging with much less on my plate.

I’m excited about the 2016 Pirates, and I can’t wait to start talking about them. It’ll happen soon. There’s just this one little thing I have to finish up first.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
