An opportunity in DC

As I mentioned yesterday, the Nationals are playing some really putrid baseball right now. They only scored five runs in a three-game set against the Dodgers in this weekend that just passed, and they're 2-8 since a four-game winning streak ended on July 8th. They're a good team that could turn things aroudn quickly, of course, but there's a chance for the Pirates to get back on track here that didn't exist a couple of weeks ago.

Charlie Morton and his weird unearned run parade will take the mound for the Pirates. Dan Haren, who is pretty terrible now, will start for the Nats. The first pitch is at 7:05.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
