Game 96: Pirates 10 D’Backs 3

I meant to write this up after the game last night, but, well, I fell asleep. The two important things to note are that Zach Duke managed to hold back the Diamondbacks for six innings despite not having his best stuff (he gave up ten hits and got hit pretty hard, it seemed to me) and that Neal Huntington’s scrap heap heroes, Delwyn Young and Garrett Jones, kept on killing the ball. Those two guys are the exact reason why spending millions of dollars on Jeromy Burnitz and Joe Randa was so maddening to see as a Pirate fan.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
