Hart front-runner to be fifth starter

In case you somehow missed it, John Russell told Rob Biertempfel that Kevin Hart is the front-runner for the fifth rotation spot. Hart’s got good stuff and I guess he might eventually harness it and turn into a good starter, but I’m not really a fan of hearing this for several reasons.

On the plus side, at least JR emoted a little bit. From the article:

“He’s throwing the ball really, really well,” Russell said, arching his eyebrows and raising his voice. “So we’re very excited.”

Arched his eyebrows! Raised his voice!

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
