Kind of a break for Ohlie

Ross Ohlendorf, he of the well-documented and completely unfair 1-10 record, finally catches a break tonight in drawing Kyle Lohse instead of Adam Wainwright or Chris Carpenter. The fact of the matter is that the Cardinals are good and that they need wins and PNC Park is place they often get wins. I would say something like, “this series makes me nervous,” but then is there anything about this season that’s worth getting nervous about right now?

First pitch is 7:05, Clemente/Cangelosi is after the jump.

Not sure what this is? Check here and here. Short version: in the comments pick the Pirates you think will be most and least valuable in today’s game. If you haven’t jumped aboard yet, it’s been a lot of fun so far and now’s as good a time as any to join in.

I put up the game thread way too late yesterday for anyone to get picks in, so the standings are the same today as yesterday.

About Pat Lackey

In 2005, I started a WHYGAVS instead of working on organic chemistry homework. Many years later, I've written about baseball and the Pirates for a number of sites all across the internet, but WHYGAVS is still my home. I still haven't finished that O-Chem homework, though.
