The Brazilian had been understood to have been reluctant to leave the Spanish club this summer despite that the two European clubs still agreed on a deal for the prolific midfielder.
Barcelona was tempted to sell the Brazilian, who still has four years to go on his contract, in order to achieve financial stability to reinvest in this summer. Juventus, who has always been keeping an eye out for Arthur, decided to use their key player Pjanic, who the Spanish club is also interested in, as a bargaining chip to secure his services.
